Predictive AI
Use of artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze historical data and predict future outcomes or trends, such as forecasting patient readmissions, equipment failures, or health service demands.
AI predictive analytics combines statistics, data mining, decision trees and machine learning to predict what is likely based on what has previously happened in comparable circumstances. Neural networks, for example, can facilitate recognition of clinically important patterns in data.
AI approaches to prediction differ from traditional predictive analytic methods, which involve manual data cleaning and static statistical models. AI automates these tasks and continually learns from the accuracy of predictions and the availability of new data to consider when making predictions.
Predictive AI differs from Generative AI in the output of AI activity. Generative AI creates new content (text, images, etc) where Predictive AI generates new insights and predictions based on existing data and patterns within that data.
