Clinical Content

General term for the clinical documentation (templates, flowsheets, forms, questionnaires, note-builders, etc.), clinical decision supports (references, alerts, reminders, assists/calculators, guides/pathways/plans, etc.) and inquiry supports (reports, registries, quality measures, etc.) that are built into a digital health record to support best possible health services.

Clinical content design often refers to customization for specific specialty needs. The term is also used to distinguish content design activities from those related to infostructure (terminologies, identification, etc.), workflow, and user-interfaces.
