Inpatient (Admitted)

An inpatient is a person who has been admitted to a health facility for medical and/or facility services and who has been assigned an inpatient bed, bassinet or incubator. This includes patients who are admitted as inpatients but held in a holding area or are in interim assessment (e.g., emergency inpatient).
