RACI Model

An acronym referencing an approach to assigning and aligning tasks with ability, capacity and accountability.

• Responsible - Person/group who actually carries out the process or task; responsible to get the job done.

• Accountable - Person/group/entity ultimately accountable for process or task being completed appropriately; where responsible entity is accountable to this entity.

• Consulted - Person/group/entity not directly involved with carrying out the task but who are consulted about its optimal execution; may be a stakeholder or subject matter expert.

• Informed - Person/group/entity receiving information and/or output from the process or task or who have a need to stay informed.
