Assists

Software systems that help practitioners apply knowledge or decisions to specific patient circumstances. They usually provide assistance in the areas of diagnosis or treatment and can include such tools as drug dosing calculators (adjust does to health status), decision-rules and clinical prediction rules. Assist systems use complex logic, require complex evidence, are difficult to maintain, and harder to automate than other types of decision support.
