Business Intelligence Developer (BID)

Business intelligence developers analyze, provide specifications for, and write reports for the applications in their content areas. BIDs work closely with Cogito business analysts (CBAs) or application reporting leads (ARLs) in their content area to obtain and interpret report consumer requests.

Ideally, BIDs design and write reports based on an in-depth knowledge of operational system use. This requires a deep understanding of clinical information system (CIS) build, end user workflows, and patterns of use. The BIDs have both the technical skills required to design and write reports and the operational knowledge to help them understand what report consumers need to see.
