Medical Scribe

Scribes are non-licensed individuals trained to document patient encounters in real time under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician. Medical scribes primarily assist physicians. Scribes may assist with documenting assessments, procedures, results or other data or order entry. Scribes may facilitate chart abstraction tasks when patients move between systems or during transitions from paper to digital systems.
